Greek homemade Grissini, also known as breadsticks or dipping sticks, are generally pencil-sized sticks of crisp, dry baked bread. It seems the original breadsticks, known as grissini, originated in the Mediterranean countries, in the late 1600s.
A hard cracker made from wheat flour is formed into a long circular stick shape. The dough is baked throughout so the inside and outside are very crispy.
