    The Greek Snails that are produced in the Escargot de Crete farm are collected at their best age stage, which is a very important factor in determining the end quality of the food. As a result of our monitoring and time scheduling, the snail meat is unique as it is thick and tender but also offers an attractive white appearance ‘’the blond’’ which is not the case with aged snails.

    Snail is one of the healthiest foods and important ingredient of the famous Cretan Diet. Snails or as they referred to by their French name ''Escargots'' provide a hefty dose of protein, little carbohydrate and some fat. Snails also serve as an excellent source of iron and other essential minerals, such as potassium and phosphorus.  Greek Snails are a great source of the valuable lectin, possesses anti-cancer properties and helps in boosting the immune system and fighting against cancerous cells.

    This ready to use premium quality snail fillets in Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO Vorios Mylopotamos, can be offered in a variety of recipes straight from the jar.  The innovation of using olive oil as the preservative gives us as we cook, the ultimate freedom to create gourmet dishes with minimal effort and without the need to remove the salt which is required when snail are preserved in brine.
